A - Participation conditions: Competitors and accompanying persons shall held the " **CMAS " diving level certificate and subscribe to an insurance compatible with underwater photographic contest (diving depth is set between 0 and 25 metres). Competitors shall be entirely equipped (diving and camera equipment compatible with 24/36 rolls of film). All participants must attend the opening ceremony of the Interceltic Watersports Festival 2003. B - Choice of photographs: At the end of each dive, films, that had previously been given to control for development, will be returned to the competitors at the end of the day for analysis (30 minutes to define actions and strategies). These films shall not be cut. At the end of this analysis, films will be returned to control. At the end of the last event of the contest and after development, all films will be returned to competitors. Slides to be presented to the Jury shall be given to control, according the organisation schedule. Competitors can get help in doing their selection and inserting their photographs from any person of their choice except from members of the Jury. The six slides shall be presented in the right order and in the way they shall be projected. No modification will be applied by the control. No delay will be tolerated. Members of the Jury shall keep their distance with the competitors; all must refuse any possible offer. Teams shall present SIX slides: C - Mounting and delivery of slides: At the beginning of each film, the competitor shall photography its team number along with the letter corresponding to the film (A, B, C or D). The 6 chosen slides shall be mounted When presented for control, the group of slides will be classified (with no modification within the group of the order and way of the slides) in an order different from the competitors' number and displayed into the slide projector to be presented to the Jury. D- Judging: The unit judged is: Criteria for judging: The 6 pictures to be judged shall be undeveloped colour slides - size 24x36 - free of any particular process in darkroom, with no dodging or cropping. The presented mount shall only display the film base. Sandwiching is forbidden (two pictures, base, filter etc...in the same mount) The picture is judged as it is projected (after the marking of the mount has been verified in order to project the slide on the right position as it has been defined by the competitor). The Jury will try hard to define a classification by successive elimination of numbered groups. The choice of the three first awarded competitors will be rigorously made as it will lead to the nomination of a Champion, a vice-Champion and the awarding of the three medals - gold, silver, bronze. All competitors shall be ranked from the first to the last. The Jury shall not be hastened in finalising the classification. Some competitors can be level in this classification apart from the three first competitors who have to be classified for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize. The organisation shall provide rolls of film 24/36, 100 ISO, 36 sequences, mounting frames, and shall be in charge of the development (E6 process).
