Mrs Annick LE LOCH, Vice-President of Finistère County Council and President of Nautisme En Finistère

Rrepresenting the Organization Committee, first of all talked about the origin of the Inter-celtic Watersports Festival, the first festival having taken place in the Crozon Peninsula in 1995.

She was delighted to see the manner in which all the Finistère and Breton protagonists mobilised to ensure the success of this ninth Festival.

In particular, she expressed her satisfaction in the way 12 private businesses committed themselves to a partnership with Nautisme En Finistère, Nautisme En Bretagne, the Regional Council of Brittany and the district councils of the Morlaix region, for the organization of this event.

She also reminded us of the deep involvement of the Morlaix Chamber of Commerce and Industry which not only contributed a part of the budget but also organized the Celtic Market, the first concrete realization of such economic exchanges within the Festival between our regions.

Finally, she reiterated the importance of developing the watersports industry for the Finistère County Council and assured all the delegations of the County's will to build a Celtic and watersports Europe together.
